When it starts to rain, Lawrence and Holo take refuge in a nearby church for the time being. There, they meet a younger traveling merchant named Zeelen who tells Lawrence of a plan regarding the trading of old silver coins for new ones in order to make a profit. Holo later tells him that this news is in fact a lie, though neither she nor Lawrence know why he told them false information. The next day, Lawrence plans with Zeelen to meet up in a bar in the port city Patzuille where they can further discuss the plan regarding the coins. While traveling, Lawrence recounts out he has been attacked by wolves eight times in the forest before, though Holo says too much regarding the wolves and Lawrence gets mad. Lawrence later asks Holo if she has ever eaten humans, though she cannot say. |
