With Holo and Lawrence still underground, they soon realize that they are slowly being surrounded and Lawrence even gets stabbed while running with Holo. When they come to a dead end, Chloe and others from the church appear and she tries to make a deal with Lawrence to hand over Holo in exchange for his life, but he refuses. Holo drinks some of Lawrence's blood by biting him and transformed into an enormous wolf and begins picking off the men who were chasing them, but keeps Chloe alive after scaring her to the point of fainting. Lawrence later wakes up in the presence of Mirone's president who tells him that despite the vast profits, there were also vast loses, so there is very little money left for Lawrence. After receiving a bill, Lawrence leaps from bed and races to the entrance, realizing that Holo bought new clothes and a bunch of apples for 140 silver coins. Lawrence and Holo agree to still travel together. |
