Lawrence and Holo travel to the town of Poloson where Lawrence tries to sell his pepper, but during the exchange Holo reveals that the man buying the pepper attempted to swindle Lawrence. In exchange for his silence, Lawrence is able to leave with more profits than he originally expected. While traveling to the church city of Rubenhaigen, Lawrence and Holo talk about the future meager profits from the armor, and the fact that smuggling gold can cost an arm to be cut off. They pass by a group of travelers that warn them about mercenaries from the north who are nearby. They continue on the road alone until they come across a female shepherd and stop to greet her, though Holo is less than enthusiastic. |
