UFC World Middleweight Champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva moves up 20 lbs to the 205lb Light Heavyweight classification as he faces James “The Sandman” Irvin. Silva is the overwhelming –550 favorite with Irvin coming back at +400. Silva is pound for pound one of the best in MMA and is a perfect 6-0 in his fights in the UFC with each victory over top competition. Silva wants to hold both the Middleweight and Light Heavyweight title at once.
James Irvin is UFC’s fifth choice in this matchup as 4 fighters turned down this bout with Silva on Spike TV.
